Ciarán was admitted as a Solicitor in 2001 and was made a Partner in 2006.

He acted as a lead solicitor during the Bloody Sunday Inquiry where Madden & Finucane represented the majority of the deceased and wounded. Ciaran personally represented six of the families of the deceased and four of those wounded.

Ciarán specialises in Criminal Law and assists in the Management of our extensive and expanding Criminal practice. He acts as instructing solicitor in many high profile criminal trials, including numerous murder and scheduled trials under the Terrorism Act. These have included successfully defending two of the defendants in the “Stormontgate” case.

He represents clients under arrest in Police Stations and defends clients in Magistrates Courts and Crown Courts throughout Northern Ireland.

Ciarán is a solicitor advocate and regularly appears as an advocate on behalf of clients in the Crown Court and Magistrates Court. Special Interest in defending Public Order Prosecutions, Assaults and Serious Fraud.
