We can confirm the release of the 29 year old man arrested this morning in the Creggan area of Derry in relation to Lyra McKee’s murder in April 2019.
Ciarán Shiels of Madden & Finucane said:
“The 29 year old man arrested at his family home at 6.45am this morning under the Terrorism Act was interviewed this afternoon repeatedly and answered all questions put to him, strenuously denying any involvement in Lyra McKee’s murder.
“He has now been released unconditionally.”
