Former MLA Daithí McKay has this week been served with a Writ of Summons issued by Paddy Kearney and Kilmona Property Limited.

The case which alleges defamation relates to the evidence given by Jamie Bryson to the Department of Finance Committee concerning the sale of NAMA Assets in Northern Ireland.

Peter Madden, Solicitor for Mr McKay today stated:

“We are presently considering the proceedings served on Mr McKay and we await particulars of the claim before we can advise him. Mr McKay will be making no comment at this stage”.
