Members of the Finucane family are scheduled to travel to London next week in advance of the release of the report prepared by Sir Desmond De Silva QC.
Geraldine Finucane and her 3 children, Michael, Katherine and John Finucane, together with other family members and the family solicitor, Peter Madden, will receive an opportunity in London to read the De Silva report in advance of release.
The report is scheduled to be laid before Parliament at 12.30pm on Wednesday, 12th December 2012, at which time it is expected that the Prime Minister, David Cameron, is expected to make a statement on the contents of the report to the House of Commons.
It is the intention of the family to hold a press conference after the statement is made by the Prime Minister in the House of Commons. The venue for this conference will be advised in due course.
In advance of the release of the De Silva report next week, Geraldine Finucane will be addressing invited guests, friends and supporters at the unveiling of a new mural of Pat Finucane on Beechmount Avenue, Belfast, at 2pm on Sunday, 9th December 2012. The guest of honour will be Mr. Gerry Adams TD.
